Through this collaboration with Friso and Watsons we aimed to close the loop on their milk tins. In one year we had collected 60000 tins, consisting of 1950 KG of plastic waste from the iconic gold and green lids. So what did we do with this waste? We converted them into recycled flower pots to be sold in select stores in Hong Kong, closing the loop between the customer & Friso.

True sustainable and traceable impact through circularity
Supported by Watson’s collection system, customers can return their Friso milk tins to Watson’s stores and also purchase these recycled flower pots. This initiative reinforces the importance of recycling and shows how every individual can make a small yet meaningful contribution. Each flower pot contains (WEIGHT)g of 100% plastic waste, sourced entirely from recycled Friso milk tins and sorted at our facility in Tuen Mun. We are committed to traceability in all our products, with each pot retaining the original iconic colors of the Friso tins. Each color variant features an embossed Dutch motif, honoring Friso’s Dutch heritage.
