In 2025 Open MUJI had brought us the challenge to develop and design an innovative exhibition to display what local recycling in Hong Kong can achieve to raise awareness to MUJI customers. From the period of August 2nd to September 14th OPEN MUJI held 3 in-store exhibitions, with the flagship exhibition held in their Causeway Bay store. Each exhibition displayed the importance of recycling and how we at V Cycle are combating Hong Kong's waste problem head on.

Traceable and Sustainable Products made with locally collected plastics
With our aim to educate and display products, we designed a Japandi inspired furniture collection to pay homage to MUJI's design brilliance. Each sheet was tailor made to coincide with MUJI's natural color palette with a mixture of soy sauce bottles and milk jugs being used. The table and bench sets omits glue by implementing traditional Japanese wood to ensure it can be disassembled for easier end of life recycling. Each furniture item used in the exhibition was locally crafted and made from 100% recycled materials. The flagship exhibition also displayed a range of injection moulded products, recycled textiles, and unique and playful sheets.
